What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

It’s the last show of the season, which may be cause for celebration for some of you. Ray talks to Fair City actors Johnny Ward and Amilia Clarke about the Katy storyline, which finally concluded this week. Panti Bliss, Jason Byrne, and TD Regina Doherty also feature. #raydarcyshow

Whiplash (RTÉ2, 9.20pm)

JK Simmons won an Oscar for his portrayal of an uncompromising music tutor who will do anything to make his students realise their potential. NOT MY TEMPO.

Quartet (BBC2, 10pm)

Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut is set in a retirement home for former musicians, where opera diva Maggie Smith arrives to shake things up. Michael Gambon and Billy Connolly also star.

Everybody’s talking about: The Crystal Maze

richard Channel 4 Channel 4

The show is being rebooted for Channel 4, and we’ve just got our first look at the host: Richard Ayoade.

The format will remain largely the same as the original, thank god, and we think Ayoade will carry on in the spirit of Richard O’Brien’s off-the-wall presenting style.
